Live Hart to perform at the Deland Original Music Fest!
Live Hart has just been added to the 11th Annual Deland Original Music Festival line up! This is the largest one-day independent music festival in the Southeast. Over 180 acts will be performing on 26 stages throughout the downtown district of Deland. Tickets will go on sale on August 14th. Venue/Stage schedule will be posted on September 14th. Live Hart on the Samy Priso Show!
This afternoon Live Hart interviewed with talk show host Samy Priso. They discussed everything from music to Live’s long dreadlocks. The Samy Priso Show is the first and only African late night comedy show in North America. Live’s appearance will air next week on the Dish Network. Check back for showtimes.

New Music: My Musical Snapshot
After being inspired by one of my favorite singer/songwriter Gabe Bondoc‘s latest 2011 EP, I’ve decided to embark on a musical journey of my own. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been writing and recording new material that I can’t wait to share. What I Learned at The 2011 ASCAP Expo by Cari Cole
So, I wanted to share with you a really nice blog written by Cari Cole after she attended the 2011 ASCAP Expo this past April in Los Angeles, CA. Recap: 2011 Florida Music Festival
Singer/Songwriter Live Hart has performed all throughout the South East and made her second appearance at the 2011 Florida Music Festival. This year’s festival showcase was held in Orlando, Florida . Live performed a 30 minute set which had many listeners mesmerized. She was accompanied by her band mates, guitarist Gerardo Manrique and percussionist Steady Joseph. Recap: Support the Cause – Women Build Week
This past Monday night Sleeping Moon Cafe’ hosted Trisha Connell’s Habitat for Humanity fundraising event in support of Women Build Week. Musician’s, artists, poets, friends & supporters from all over the city came to support Trisha and her cause. With everyone’s effort she was able to raise $220 that night. Only half way from her goal, Trisha still has a ways to go. Please continue the support and donate what you can to make a difference.

Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, killing an estimated 8,700 people in the US in 2010. AIM for a Cure, the Orlando Chapter of the AIM at Melanoma Foundation* was founded in 2009 in Orlando, Florida by Lori Luedtke as a way to honor her brother, David Eagleston, who lost his battle with melanoma in 2006. Through her love for David and dedication to the cause of eradicating melanoma cancer, she organized their first fundraiser event in just two months, netting an impressive $8,000 for melanoma research!
On May 1st Laura and her team will be doing it all again! Ember (Downtown, Orlando) will be hosting this year’s 3rd Annual AIM for a CURE Fundraiser for Melanoma Research on May 1st at 4pm. (more…)
Support the Cause: Women Build Week
A friend of mine named Trisha Connell, is a Full Sail University Entertainment Business Masters Student who is currently putting together a team of Full Sail students, faculty, and friends to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity Non-Profit Organization which is apart of Women Build Week. Women Build Week brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children across the globe. In 2010, 420 Central Florida women volunteered over 2,500 hours and raised more than $82,000 to build a home for the Tolliver family. The dream for 2011 is to raise $100,000 to fully fund a home for a Central Florida family in need of simple decent affordable housing.
On April 11th, Trisha will be putting her efforts into high gear by hosting an event at Sleeping Moon Cafe’ to support this cause. Live performances by Savvi, Ebonee, Seventh, Bobbi Ruffin, myself and more! Trisha’s goal is to raise $500 by April 15th. Help Trisha get to her goal by showing your support on the 11th! Dr. Phillips Center Pop Up Concert at Hue
Dr. Phillips Center hosted a Pop-Up concert at Hue Restaurant featuring singer/songwriter Live Hart who also gave her take on the importance of the new center.
Dr. Philip’s is currently in the planning stages of launching their highly anticipated Performing Arts Center. The new facility will be the home for multi-cultural artistic excellence and a campus for arts education. The new center will house a 2,700+ seat Disney Theater, an Outdoor Performance Plaza, an Educational facility and more! Construction begins as soon as possible!
