The 12th annual Florida Music Festival (FMF) kicks off this Thursday in Downtown, Orlando, Florida. FMF features some of the top indie artist from all around the country. Live Hart will be performing a solo acoustic set on Saturday, April 20th at Cafe Annie’s (131 N. Orange Ave). Looking forward to seeing you there!
The RAW: Natural Born Artist Showcase was a huge success! Hundreds of art enthusiasts flocked to The Abbey (Downtown, Orlando) to be apart of Orlando’s biggest monthly art showcase. Live performances by Cure for Caska and Roquois were amazing! Live Hart also graced the stage and gave a stellar performance along side her band mates, Gerardo Manrique (guitar), Steady Joseph (percussion) and Derrick Harvin (keys). One of the best ways to give back is from the heart. On Valentines Day, Live was invited to sing at Arnold Palmer Hospital annual Cardiac Heart Party for children who had under gone heart surgery in 2012. Over 200 beautiful families attended this private event held at the hospital in Downtown Orlando. The image to the left is a photo of the Disney themed hall the event was held in.
Throughout the event, families were greeted with warm smiles. They also participated in various activities such as face painting, games and enjoyed lots of yummy refreshments. Thank you Arnold Palmer Hospital for the opportunity to spread love.

A few weeks ago, Live Hart made her first live solo performance in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts at the Cambridge Performing Arts Center. The Xibus Performance Hall where the performance was held, was a state-of-the-art performance space with lovely acoustics which created a beautiful and intimate performance for Live’s audience. Thank you so much Cambridge for this wonderful experience. We are looking forward to entertaining you again soon.

The Cambridge Performing Arts Center welcomes Live Hart this Saturday, December 15th at 7pm. Live will be performing a 45 minute solo acoustic set in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Deland Original Music Festival will take place this weekend, November 3rd in the heart of Downtown Deland, Florida. Live Hart will be performing at one of her favorite venues; Cafe’ Davinci at 8pm. This is going to be a great show as Live will be previewing a few songs from her upcoming album. Live Hart will be performing at the Disney Bandshell (Lake Eola) at 1:45pm during the Come Out With Pride Orlando festival on Saturday, October 6th. On September 22nd Rockaz MVMT will host the ‘Playing For Change Day’ event which will take place at Grand Central in Miami, FL. Live Hart will be one of the featured artists set to perform that afternoon. Admission is $10. Showtime @ 3pm, Live will be performing @ 5pm.

Earlier this month, I did a post on a hott new band emerging out of Hawaii. Well, this week the Freeradicals Projekt released the highly anticipated visual for their newest single, “Love Is”. The video starts out by capturing a father and son moment set to a beautiful Hawaii back drop. As you’re floating away on a cloud of melodic melodies, you get to see the rest of the band and what they do best.

Last summer, I had the pleasure of working with the ever so talented jazz saxophonist Erly Thornton on his upcoming album, ‘In Transit‘ which is currently sitting at #30 on the Billboard charts. I recorded background vocals with Shaun Fisher to the titled track, ‘Morning Sun’. When I first heard the track I was blown away by the beautiful saxophone melody Erly had created. So, I just want to take a moment to highlight a very talented friend of mine and his new band – Freeradicals Projekt. Created by guitarist/songwriter Rama Covarrubias. Freeradicals Projekt is a fusion of funk, alternative/jazz, Hip-Hop and soul.
This Hawaii based band creates grooves inspired by music such as Sly and the Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, Fugees (with a full band), De La Soul and The Roots to name a few, with a Latin infusion from early salsa (more…)
Last weekend I attended the Newport Jazz Festival® out in Newport Rhode Island with a few great friends.
Founded in 1954, the Newport Jazz Festival® was the first annual jazz festival in America. It has been host to numerous legendary performances by some of the world’s leading established and emerging artists. Historic moments since its inception include performances by Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Miles Davis. It’s a Wrap! The 11th Annual Florida Music Festival has ended and goes down as one of the best weekends of live music ever! Live Hart and guitarist Gerardo Manrique performed to a full house at the Gibson Showroom during the sold out festival. The Deland-A-Palooza Music Fest is right around the corner!
