Support the Cause: Women Build Week

A friend of mine named Trisha Connell, is a Full Sail University Entertainment Business Masters Student who is currently putting together a team of Full Sail students, faculty, and friends to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity Non-Profit Organization which is apart of Women Build Week. Women Build Week brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children across the globe. In 2010, 420 Central Florida women volunteered over 2,500 hours and raised more than $82,000 to build a home for the Tolliver family. The dream for 2011 is to raise $100,000 to fully fund a home for a Central Florida family in need of simple decent affordable housing.

On April 11th, Trisha will  be putting her efforts into high gear by hosting an event at Sleeping Moon Cafe’ to support this cause. Live performances by Savvi, Ebonee, Seventh, Bobbi Ruffin, myself and more! Trisha’s goal is to raise $500 by April 15th.  Help Trisha get to her goal by showing your support on the 11th!
